Luke Bryan's life changed forever when his brother-in-law died suddenly in 2014.
Bryan and his wife Caroline Boyer stepped up to care for their nephew Til after his father's death. Til's mother -- Bryan's older sister -- died in 2007. The singer also lost his older Chris in a car accident in 1995.
The country singer already had two sons with his college sweetheart but both were under the age of 8 at the time Til moved in with the family. Raising a teenager is a completely new ballgame for Bryan, he shared with People.
"We woke up and had a teenager in our midst, but we love it," the "Move" singer told People. "It's nothing but positive. Til is having a blast and I think he's finally settled in being in Nashville."
However, Bryan said he and his wife are facing new challenges raising the teen.
"We're having to watch grades and watch Instagram and Snap Chat and keep him from being on that all day long. It's interesting because he'll be a boy one minute and he'll act like a man the next, so you just try to help him make good decisions and study hard and be respectful and try to do your best to raise them right."
Bryan and Boyer met in college and married in 2006. They have two sons, Thomas "Bo" Boyer, 8, and Tatum "Tate" Christopher, 6.
Singer Luke Bryan and wife, Caroline Boyer, arrive at the 2016 CMT Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S. June 8, 2016. |
